Creating a Business Catalyst menu is easy and relatively quick. But, this doesn't mean you can't speed up the menu creation process. By using two BC features together you can create a menu with lots of menu items in about a minute.
Start by nagivating to the page you want the menu to live (manage mode in the admin), and select the location you want the menu to be located. In the toolbox select Site Modules > Pages > Sitemap. Select the pages (or All Items) you want be in the menu. Click Insert. Remove any pages you don't want to be in the menu. Save the page.
Add the styles to the newly created unordered list (I like Bootstrap). Save the page.
Then select 'Optimize Content' in the 'More Actions' dropdown. Name the menu, and click 'Perform Selected Changes'.
Business Catalyst just created a new menu and added the menu module tag to the page. Pretty fast, right?
